"White Umbrella" Seattle cityscape, oil painting by Robin Weiss

"White Umbrella" 6x8 oil on panel
I followed this couple as they were walking happily.... and apparently in love, down the side walk with the rain pouring down . They were laughing and holding hands ....and I was hoping I could capture the spirit and feel of the scene.....

I really enjoy trying to capture these rainy day scenes ...HERE is another one from the archives....a large 60x40 commission piece I did a few years back...It is now hanging on the 16th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in Seattle.

Rob . . .

It has been a while . . . .
I am stunned by the quality of your work now!! Beautiful!

Am driving up to Squim (spelleing?) and Port Townsend in June. Am wondering if you and I could get together over a painting or two . . .or maybe just coffee . . . would love to meet you and get to know you!

Am jealous that you are going to Red Rock. That is going to be one heck of an event . . . .that I should not be missing, but have to, sadly.

Let me know if you can arrange some time in June.
