"Dock Time" plein air, oil, landscape painting by Robin Weiss

"Dock Time"  10x12 oil on panel   $450  awarded first place in the Harbor History Museum plein air event

Recently the Harbor History Museum in Gig Harbor had its annual plein air painting competition. I heard about this plein air event after entering the museums 15th Annual Maritime Exhibition.

First Place Award
In the Maritime Exhibition I entered my painting "North Head Lighthouse" which won the Peoples Choice Award at the Tacoma Art Co. last year. This year it won First Place in the Maritime Museum show! (and is still for sale!  $3400 if you are interested)

Big thanks to juror Luke Tornatzky and the good folks at the Harbor History Museum.

First Place Award from juror George Milliken
Well, as you can imagine I was very surprised, honored and humbled to win first place in the plein air competition as well!  Especially so coming from juror and Salmagundi Club member, George Milliken.  Thanks again to George and the good folks at The Harbor History Museum!
