"Muslim Rider" Kampala, Uganda,

Back to my Uganda images.......This Muslim girl glanced back just as I clicked the shutter....We were driving through the outskirts of Kampala , on our way to the airport guest house....I think the image is a compelling portrait into the life of a typical Ugandan citizen.

Right now I am fascinated with painting and drawing on this brown paper!.....sorry about the glare.........=/..

You're really onto something here, Robin. I think the vivid paint looks so striking against the earthy looking brown paper. The contrast is lovely!

  4. Thank you Silvi! I think I need to explore some different papers, but will continue to go with this technique and just have fun with it.

  5. Hi Robin,
I also love the combined mediums.
It's very rich and so telling of the moment you saw her.

It's really a striking work and idea.

  7. I think there is something very rich in the brown paper when used as a support... It makes me feel that we all have something in common. I guess because it is so common to us all??? I have only used the brown paper once to do some painting/drawing on. It sold to the first person who saw it...

I love this drawing and painting you've done. Your drawing skills are remarkable. I love your sketches.
