"Alexa" oil portrait/landscape painting
My friend Alexa came over to to the studio after school. Modeling is no fun but she has a great attitude and hopefully had as much fun as I did drawing and painting her.
Your painting of her with the woods as a background is beautifully haunting!Love the play of colors against the shadowy background. Plus, your soft yet bold strokes provide texture and further emphasis.
Welcome to IPA whitewitch. I really didn't intend to make it look spooky But the thorn-like fir trees in the background and the foggy atmosphere made it look , yes, haunting..Thank you for the kind comments!

I love this. I don't see many figurals from you. You definitely need to do some more. I like what White Witch said, "beautifully haunting."
