"On the Road to Cerritos" Mexico, desert, landscape painting by Robin Weiss

"On the Road to Cerritos"  10x10 oil on panel   Sold
To get from Jolyns house to the beach at Cerritos you drive these dirt roads through the desert. They call this cactus a Cordone. I desperately wanted to stop and paint these in the landscape but unfortunately was tied down to the workshop schedule. I did take a lot of pictures of them , stopping Jo many times to hop out and shoot photos. I loved the change of complimentary color from the yellow/green tops to the red/purple lower branches.
