While spending some time in Freemont taking photos for a commission painting I ran across these kayaks tied up at the marina. The colors, and the reflections those colors generated in the water grabbed my attention and I snapped a few pictures. This small painting is the result of those reference shots .
How wonderful! love the squirrely reflections in the water. and yes, I used to kayak when I lived in Seattle. It was so much fun. I learned the roll, too. and riding a backwash in the river was really fun! love the way you take me back to my youth. 8)
