"Mt. Baker Farm" oil landscape painting by Robin Weiss

"Mt. Baker Farm" 18x36 oil on canvas   SOLD
I had a tough time getting a good photograph of this painting.  That happens sometimes with the larger work since it is harder for me to control the lighting. We found this scene on the way back from Vancouver, BC. It is near Lynden on the border of Washington state.

Breathtaking, Robin! I grew up near Seattle, and your paintings bring me back "home" frequently. Thank you!

Kari, Thank you! I tend to push color as far as I think I can get away with.....sometimes it works , other times not.

Thank you Kathleen! The location is painting perfect! I will try and get back there again this year.

Hi Carol, I appreciate your compliment! I feel very blessed to be a painter living in this beautiful area!

Beautiful. The neutral hills, mountain and sky really make the red/gold focal area pop.

In case like this I take a couple ref-photos, one for mountains in sky and one for mid/foreground to adjust exposure separately. Nicely done!
