This plein air painting of the "Manure Spreader" kinda sums it up for me this last week. Painting has been such a struggle for some reason. I think I'm gonna step back and take a breather for awhile. ....11x14 oil on panel done down on Big Valley road at the Veterinary clinic.. $200.00
Saturday down at the boat haven in Port Townsend. This guy saw me painting , came over and said, " Hey if you like to paint I'll give you a job", and tryed to hand me his respirator. 8x8 oil on panel, $135.00
These dalias on my deck just keep drawing me in. I can't help trying to paint them even though I don't want to....10x8 oil on panel $135.00

Hey Man! I was just about to email you. Was wondering if you were sick or somethin'. I can see by the intensity of your work that you ain't been slackin'!!
good your back, bud!
Robin, Boat Haven Painters is really, really good! Looks really strong.
Geez, I used the word 'really' three times in the last comment. That's really too many reallys. Sorry. Really sorry.
Hey Mike, Thanks for checkin in, I have been going through a weird period of stagnation. Hopefully I'll snap out of it.
I appreciate the encouragement.
Silvi, I really didn't want to answer your comment using the word really but some moments just call for redundancy.
I really appreciate your commenting
I think your a really great artist
I'm really glad your one of my blog buddies
I love the fact that you didn't get so representational painting these dahlias...The colors as great too.
Next year my garden will hopefully be filled with dahlias. I love those flowers and I am envious because Washington is known for its dahlias.
Yes Elio, The dalias here are fantastic, of every color and texture. Some gardens devoted entirly to them.
Thanks for your comment!
Your coast painting is stunning!
Thanks Robin, for visiting Brushstrokes, etc, and your encouraging and kind comments! I enjoyed looking at your blog! Great work :-) Hope your break isn't too long... but sometimes it is good to "regroup" a bit!
Well darn... just when I decide to peek in almost daily to see what you've painted, you decide to take a rest. I'm not sure how I came upon your blog. Hope to see more work soon.
Thanks for visiting Helen! Enjoyed your artwork and your back stories.
Hi Nancy! I'm glad your visiting my blog. I stopped by yours . I think were pretty close, maybe we could paint together some time. Your watercolors are very fresh.
Keep checking I'll be back at it soon.
One painting leads to another and another. Don't look for 'masterpiece' subjects. Just paint. . . .and paint . . .and paint.
So . . . .where ya been, Bud?
