Got a little glare from the light in this photo, sorry about that. This is from our last visit to the Lighthouse at Fort Warden in Port Townsend. The day was blustery and cold. It felt good to get back to the woodstove at home. ..

Hi! I am new to your blog, and am really enjoying your work! This lighthouse and beach is wonderful. I am amazed at the depth of this work... lots to stop and enjoy here. I especially like how the outcrop of rocks (especially the slabs) made me stop and go back to revisit the beach area before moving further into the painting. Really nice.
Hi Joanne! Thanks for visiting! Your watercolors and photographs are stunning.
Hey Robin, really nice painting. Wonderful strong contrasts.
Rob,
Another painting with much sentimental value for me! Thanks to your tutelage, I now see how the eye is drawn to the beach, then deeper into the picture toward the light house. Just gorgeous -and exactly the way I remember it! Thank you!!
This is really nice! I love visiting the Port Townsend lighthouse. Really nice perspective!
Great atmosphere as well as design. You seem to be painting dark these days ... it couldn't be the weather could it?
Hey Silvi! Thanks , I liked the dark diagonals of the rocks on this beach.
Thank you Annie! That was a great day! Can't wait to be able to take you back. We will camp a few days on the beach.
Hi Cheryl! Thanks for visiting. You must be another North West painter?
Hi Nancy, thanks! I do seem to be using more black paint these days and I do like a strong contrast. I think the weather has a lot to do with it, yes.
Yup! You are definetely getting berter and better, Rob! Good goin', Bud!
