"Out to Pasture"

This car is sitting in a pasture just down the road from where I live on Bond road in Poulsbo. It would make a nice project car that you could buy and park in your yard and then think about how you are going to fix it up for the next twenty years. I like the idea of painting a picture of it and hanging it on the wall. 12x12 oil on canvas $225.00 SOLD

There is something intriguing and special about old abandoned cars - I want to know where they have been, who traveled in them. This painting is like the cover to a book - what is the story inside?

I like this and also love this theme.

I have been focusing a lot on suburb scenes this year. I haven't showed them yet but I have been working on them trying to find my way of painting them.

I love coming here because you have good taste in WHAT to paint. It always makes me say damn...I wish I was there painting that.

In california that car would have been towed and melted down and used for making cell phones.

I love to be able to convey a story in my paintings if I can, so thank you Terry!

Elio, thanks for the compliment!

I look forward to seeing your urban paintings!

The thing we need more than old cars sitting around is more cell phones don't ya know!

Nice one! Perspective and composition are terrific. Really like the effect of the pine tree in the hazy distance.

Hi Nancy, Thanks! Looks like I may be going to Africa in June. Lord willing. so I will be getting away from the Northwest scenes for awhile anyway.

This is such an intriguing painting. The image of a car in the middle of the row crops is both startling and amusing.

It certainly does get one's curiosity piqued to learn the story! Perhaps the driver had one too many and thought he was home.

No bling?! I'm caught up in the frenzy of the upcoming show. It's this Saturday AND I'm taking two classes per week plus the class I teach. I really miss painting, I've only done pencil work lately.

Let me say once again, what a beautiful job you did on "Out to Pasture".

I like the painting. You have a realistic view of the "fix up the car" projects.
