"Dark Zone" oil landscape painting, and Arts in the Woods

The days are shorter now. Dark in the morning on my way to work, and often times , dark on the way home........This Fall it makes me more melancholy than usual as I dig in for the long winter ahead, working and looking for spring when my girl comes home....the long waiting over..and a new chapter in our lives beginning....... 8x8 oil on panel sold

Arts in the Woods is next weekend!!........Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 7th, 8th, and 9th of November. I will be at the Knowles Studio on Noll Rd in Poulsbo with studio owner, artist and print maker, Leigh Metteer, Abstract artist Jessica McGreal , and childrens book illustrator Richard Jessie Watson........ hope to see you there!!.....I will be doing a demonstration painting during the show.....and there will be coffee and goodies too!.......Thanks for coming!

"The heavens declare the glory of God"...even when those heavens are dark and dreary...who, besides God, could make cloud formations like that? And who, besides you, could paint them to perfection??
Thank you for waiting for me! I'll be home soon...

Very evocative, moody painting. Love the silvery road, and lights. I agree with Diane. You are very good at painting dramatic nocturnal landscapes.

i was fascinated by your varied oil paintings and your sketches. I recently painted my first oil painting. I had no instruction or class but I decided to just go for it. seeing your paintings made me want to keep trying.

Thank you Annie! Your very kind to say that, but alas....I have a long way to go to achieve "perfection" in painting clouds or anything.....never the less I am perfectly in love with you and will be waiting when you come home....=]
