"Weed Garden" Orcas Island homestead , daily painting
A studio painting from one of the images on Orcas Island........Again, drawn to the light and shadow. The color and textures.......There is much beauty in the blight....

There's beauty everywhere when you take the time too look even in a weed garden and an abandoned car. Love the intense colour against the deep shadows. Also love your hay field looks so much like here in Scotland :)
Diana and I sailed past the san Juans in early July on both via Ferry and ship as we cruised to Alaska. While in Victoria, I stood on the beach looking across the sound and thought of you many time Robin (really!). Had we not been on such a tight schedule, I considered a visit to Polsbo and Sequim (sis lives there) to see you.
And the San Juans have always been a personally promised destination for me. Someday, we should put a gang of guys together and storm the place with our paints, eh?
