"Sweet and Sour" yellow panseys with lemons and sugar jar
Working on my yellows......somehow a difficult color for me. The biggest challenge was the transparency and luminous light in the cut lemon.
This is wonderful. Your handling of those deep dark shadows in and around the pot create such an intense depth that I can’t help but fall right into this painting. Really the pot itself is so well done, as are the lemons and pansy. Your color compliments and intense values create such a beautiful feeling in this painting. What a joy to stumble upon this today!

I'd say you got it just right. That cut lemon...wow...it makes my mputh water in anticipation of pure sour. Good job!
Excuse me. I meant mouth.
Thank you nobody! That's what I wanted to accomplish! To actually taste the sour when you see the lemon.....=]

Thank you for your kind comments Rebecca!....=]
I really like this, and yes, the yellows are great! I agree, you got that cut lemon just right. I can tate it, too.
