"Barn by the River" plein air, landscape painting by Robin Weiss

"Barn by the River'   10x8 oil on panel     $330
Sometimes you just have to stop and get the ball rolling! That's the way it was for this first painting. My friend Jim Lamb and I headed up to Snoqualmie Pass in Washington state recently to try and find some snow to paint. This first stop by the river was not the best and the snow melted off pretty quickly while we were painting...but that primed us for the good snow to come!

"The Underground Tourists" Seattle cityscape by Robin Weiss

"The Underground Tourists"  10x10 oil on panel     Sold
In Seattle they have underground tours where you can go down under the streets and see some of the history of the city. You see huge groups of tourists from all over the world. I have never been on the tour!..and I have never been on the Duck....but I do love to paint the city!  This is the Pioneer Building in Pioneer Square right where you catch the tour.
I painted a larger version of this composition which I will post later.

"The Conversation" oil painting by Robin Weiss

"The Conversation"  8x8 oil on panel      Sold
2015 has started off in many good ways for me and my family. My art business continues to grow and I feel grateful for the success I have achieved this past year. However in the world at large many different struggles are simmering . It's hard to know what to do. Sometimes all you can do is treat others with respect....or "love your neighbor as yourself".   This painting tries to convey my feelings on this in the way I communicate best...visually, through my paintings.
