Trilliums in the woods are the herald that spring has officially sprung. They haven't come up yet but I keep walking back in the woods to look for them. Every year they come back to the same place along the path behind our house which I call the Trillium Trail. I love these wild flowers and have painted them many times out in the woods and in the studio. this was done from last years photo reference.
