"Happy Cow" landscape. oil painting

This is the pastoral scene I drive by every day on my way to the studio. The cows in this field must be milk cows or pets because they have been here for quite awhile and seem very content in their "Cow Paradise"

A lovely painting Robin. I love the way you have seen the field and background as a set of shapes. The colours are excellent. It is so hard to do green i find.

Really great composition. And you have wonderfully captured that "between the squalls" light.

Silvina, I'm glad the abstract forms jump out for. you that means the painting works.

Sheila, thanks! yes green is tough but in the Northwest you have to learn it's secrets. I have been using Richard Schmids, Viridian mixed with a wide variety of yellows.

Thank you Gretchen!

Hi Kim, Thanks! Stop by again!
