"Light and Shadow" landscape, oil painting

Looking at this painting I realized it could be a metaphorical image about the importance of remaining in the light and following the narrow road that leads to life........It's easy to get distracted and lost in the shadows but if you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, He will be "...a light unto your path...."

Rob,
I believe art and beauty can express truth when words are inadequate. Isaiah said, "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.". Both this painting and your words reflect that light.

Thank you Ann! I agree that beautiful art can reflect the Creators heart

Hey Robin,

As usual, this piece is beautiful. i just viewed your profile for the first time and noticed that you like Fernando Ortega as an artist... me too. I often play his cd's when I am painting. Glad this piece sold - the contrast between light and dark is so striking, and very metaphorical! Thanks for sharing your faith and your art.

This is my absolute favorite, it is sparse and beautiful in it's simplicity. Very heartfelt, soulful and amazing. Thanks for posting.
