"Two House Farm" 8x10 oil on panel $330 |
I was not very happy with this one when I was done with it on Saturday. It was pretty awful, but I kept it knowing that I can often salvage a PA painting in the studio when I get back after studying the photos. Now I think it may be one of my stronger pieces from the trip .....so, never give up!!

Oh Robin, What a beautiful piece. I can just feel the fresh gentle air as you painted this. I went plein air painting the other day and found it to be the most enjoyable thing. Have a blessed day.
This IS a wonderful piece. It manages to capture place and time, and those houses and the boat grab the viewers eye. You inspire me, but I'm too much of a weenie to stand out in the rain and wind on the Oregon coast to paint!
Yes, this is a marvelous piece. The colors, the textures, the memory of places once dreamed....so very marvelous. There is something about the old family farm set deep against the forest primieval which is very evocative. It is making me want to be there again!! LOL...Ans that little patch of blue sky about that sail boat doesn'r hurt!
I love this one -- so beautiful.
Beautiful! I really like this piece too!
Thank you all for your kind input! I appreciate your taking the time to jump through the hoops of commenting on this blog!...very encouraging.=]
I just found your blog and I believe I will visit it often. I just discovered the joy of plein air painting after moving to Phoenix, AZ last March. Your work inspires and teaches me. Thank you for sharing!
