These old fishing cabins in Hansvill will soon be gone , replaced by development that will probably include condominiums. It's nice to record some history before it disapears
12x9 oil on panel, $200.00 SOLD
Saturday we took the train to Portland to view the Rembrandt exhibit at the Portland Art Museum. In this painting Rembrandt paints a self portrait as the apostle Paul. Many of the dutch masters were represented in the show. Interesting to see how many of the paintings had a moral lesson hidden in them through means of symbolism or were biblically based.
Heres the crew who went down, from the left Jim, Leigh, Karen,Claudia, Mike and me. On the train back when we were all wiped out and hoping for sleep they let a group of about 20 ladies having a bachelorette party on our car, still I slept through most of it except for some really loud war whooping or whatever.........

Nice piece Robin. Reminds me of days that I liked in Washington:)
Hey Robin,
So that's what artists in Oregon look like. : )
Oh how I wish I could see that Rembrandt exhibit!
Do you think it's coming to L.A.?
Your painting is terrific. Really nice job on that little building.
Les, thanks man! your recent paintings are stunning!
Hi Sil, you know,I'm not sure where its going next. Try the Portland Art Museum site for info. You would love this show and the history behind the paintings.
Thanks for your always encouraging comments:)
Terrific painting, Robin--fresh color, wonderful light and I can almost see the motion of that sailboat!
You nailed this one Robin. This one really has an amazingly airy and fresh aspect to it. When it popped on the screen I felt myself involuntarily saying "Wow!"
As for the Rembrandt show, jealousy lurks here.
Rock on, Bud!
Hey thanks for stopping by Don! your comments are appreciated.
Thanks Mike! you make me want to keep pushing myself.
Stopped by again to get a closer look at this lil guy. Am diggin the calligraphic line work in this one, Robin. I still get that feeling of fresh air!
I love the crisp air feeling in this painting, Robin!
Mike ,I know when you take a second peek I/ve done something right. Thanks!
Hi Matt, Thanks! Still hopeing to get up your way this summer.
Robin,
Love the way the pine on the left leads the eye to the building. Your fresh, bold colors are very harmonious.
The Rembrandt exhibition must have been impressive!
How could you possibly sleep through a bachelorette party on your car?!
Hi Jen, Thanks!...I've got alot to learn about drawing the eye to the focal point. I'll start by studing your latest two paintings.
Got up at 3:45 am that morning. Those girls could of taken turns doing table dances on my drop tray and I would have snored through it.
