"Below the SafeCo" Seattle train yards, oil painting

My last exploring trip to the city brought me to the train yards under SafeCo Field......lots of interesting scenes down there!.....This back lit view of the tracks and distant buildings captured my interest and I had to try and portray the hazy nostalgia of distant places connected by miles of rails.....

6x8 oil on panel sold contact robinweiss@earthlink.net

From the sketch book.....=] (most pencil sketches can be purchased for $25.00)

Hey Robin, very nice, for sure. At first glance, I thought it was a photo. The preliminary sketches are really good, too.

Wow- gorgeous!! And NO YOU DO NOT sell your drawings for $25 each!! You're going to put us all of business Robin. Oh- I got it! That was a typo right? You forgot the one behind the dollar sign.

Maybe you should fix that, huh?

Hey, Robin, I love the trainyard pieces, painting and sketches. I really like the low color in the painting, and the rusted whatever it is in the foreground. It's a nice piece, mysterious and inviting. Gee, I like your work.

Wow Robin, this is gorgeous. I think you should do more! There is a big following for anything to do with trains. I love this painting.

Hey Bro, Sell your paintings, but KEEP your sketches. That's a record of your thoughts, process and your growth. Most artists I know would never part with their sketches or sketchbooks. Y'gotta save something for YOU and your family.

Just a thought.
