Yesss! Now that's what I'm talking about! I love the loosely rendered, dark background surrounding the mysterious 'smoker'. This dynamic painting is infused with life!
Wow. I love the light on the woman and the color of blue on her head. Then I looked on and noticed the bright colors on the other paintings that you have done. I really like your work and will be watching for more of it. This is the first time that I am on your blog.
Hi, Robin - Your work just thrills me. Some day, I want to see it in person. Or own one!
In recognition of you and your beautiful work and inspirational blog, I'm awarding you the Noblesse Oblige prize. You can go to my blog, carriejacobson.blogspot.com, on May 20, to find out about the award and pick it up. Please don't feel compelled to do anything with it - but if you're moved, great! Thank you, as always, for your lovely paintings and fine writing.
Thank you everyone!!! It's been kinda crazy busy for me so I haven't been keeping up with my comments....But I so appreciate the feedback and will try and get to all your blogs soon...love you guys! Robin

Your artwork continues to be breath-taking, Robin. And it doesn't have anything to do with the smoke. :-)
This has great atmosphere. Pretty intriguing... What kind of life does she have? Where is she going?
What a cool painting! I love the brilliant sunshine, and the diagonal slant of the street, and the way the smoke curls. Lovely.
Robin, you have become one of my favorites. "The Smoker" is beautiful.
One of your strongest paintings, very atmospheric. Great narrative, color, composition.... overall fantastic!
You made me actually love a painting of a smoker!
