I have painted this view several times before in Skagit County. All the local painters are familiar with Rawlins Road. Looking this way you see the farms and fields of the agricultural land. Turn 180% and you see the marsh and coastal islands of the Puget Sound. It was the wide open space and dramatic clouds you see in March around here that drew me to this scene.
