Every year I try and take at least one workshop from an artist I respect and whose art I admire. In 2023 I had the opportunity to join a class with Kimbal Geisler at the Art Center in Edmonds, WA.. It was one of the best workshops I have attended! If you get the chance to learn from Kimbal, Take it!  I wrote a more in depth blog post about it on the Plein Air Washington Artists website HERE

The above painting was done from a reference photo taken on site during a road trip to Colorado a few years ago. I have painted it before and it is interesting to see the differences. They are both the same size 20x20 but this one was painted a lot faster during the workshop.
