"Boat Haven across the Marsh" Port Townsend, landscape ,oil painting

A favorite haunt of mine, the boat haven in Port Townsend. There is a wealth of interesting scenes here and several good restaurants tucked into the warehouses and buildings that make up PT's eclectic boating community.

I like how you put the center of interest at the top 1/3 of the canvas.

The water shimmering in the light with the reflection of the marsh is very nicely done! I like the colorful subjects as well. You are doing wonderful work lately!

Thanks Silvi! using the top third for the subject has been working well for me lately. I did another one today!

I have to agree, Port Townsend has a wonderful boat yard (or 2). I love to drive through and see the massive hulls out of water.

Your composition is wonderful as well as your coloring. Super!
