"Last Load" oil landscape
I'm a sucker for old abandoned trucks.....what can I say?......This was a beauty.....couldn't pass it up.........oil on stretched canvas...18x14 $385.00 Sold
My 84 year old neighbor has a 1950 something truck and '50's cadillac' that has been sitting in her yard since her husband died in the early seventies. 'They are where he left them' she tells me. I'm going to see if I can't get some good photos for you. Vikki
Okay, Wow! I have just overcome some severe computer problems!....If anyone has viruses and gets as frustrated by them as I have.....check out http://bleepingcomputer.com register as a user and be sure that someone in the forums has had the same problem.......Good news is if I can figure it out....You can!!!!
Diane, Thanks a lot! I appreciate the Well Done!!..
Hi Silvina! I do have a bit more time into this painting....The light coming through the grasses was very attractive to me...but as you say, the truck as the focal point needed more power.....I achieved this in part by drawing from a workshop by Gamblin on the difference between modern and classic colors, using the more modern Thalo (which I never use) to draw out the glow of the blue shadow of the truck.....=]
How refreshing to look at your paintings .I love what you do . I just recently entered the blogger word and I find incredible artists all over the web .

This painting is wonderful! I love old trucks - and old trucks in a beautiful landscape are especially great!
Fantastic, Robin! It looks like you put as much effort into the grasses as to the truck, but the truck stays the focal point.
Did you know that Mike B. and David Lobenberg also posted truck paintings? Is it a coincidence?
Dude!! Right on fo da truck paintings!!!! See Dave B.
