"Big City" Seattle City oil painting by Robin Weiss

"Big City" 50x38   Sold
This is the large studio version of a smaller study I did awhile back. It is available through the Harbor Steps gallery , downtown Seattle..... In fact, if you walk into this painting , past the girl and through the portal....you will be on the harbor Steps.....Have a fun night in the city!

My hand involuntarily went to the icon of this painting (on Cathleen Rehfelds page)and clicked on it. It was an odd coincidence because I think this is a fantastic painting. I have a particular fondness for evening, night, or early morning paintings. I especially like way you handled the left foreground and the deep blue sky. This is just fantastic.

Kevin, Thanks for your comment and welcome to IPA! When I first designed this composition I thought it would work well for a large scale painting. When it was finished and hung in our house, awaiting show time, I realized as I turned the light out in the room it was hung, and the work had just as strong an impact that it was a winner. Thanks again!

I just love the depth of this alley. Your painting is really marvelous at depicting it. Fabulous piece!
