Point no Point, studio#1 16x20 oil on linen $1200 360-779-3940 |
Following up on earlier posts I will continue to present all the Point no Point plein air studies and studio work I have been doing recently.
This is a larger studio painting done from reference photos and studies. Once again I am using driftwood as a design element to provide pathways into the scene and direct the viewer around the painting. This is a typical Northwest day in winter with low clouds revealing a slice of light at the horizon. Doing a grey-sky work like this you want to be sure you have previously scraped your left over paint into a sizeable grey motherload. That paint will be tweeked with color to go warm or cool creating a variety of greys to add interest.
Get out there and give it a try! =]
